The sun is a crucial nutrient to the overall health of our system. These days the sun has gotten a bad rap. Now people seem to view the sun as unhealthy and slather on tons of sun lotion… I have even seen SPF 50!! And most times the ingredients in these lotions are extremely toxic and terrible for our health. Adequate sunlight of approximately 30 minutes to one hour a day of mid morning sun or very late afternoon sun on the total body gives the body a chance to re-energize. Like plants, we soak up the nutrients into our system. But, of course, too much of a good thing is never good. Too much sun exposure can cause irreversible damage to our skin and cause imbalances in our system. So, with this very neccessary nutrient, moderation is the key.
